Food Bank
The Food Bank provides food to low-income Glenn County residents. The food is distributed based on family size and on what makes a nutritionally-balanced diet. There are two food banks in Glenn County; one is located in Orland at the Human Resource Agency, and the other is at the Willows Human Resource Agency. Those that receive food bank services must be Glenn County residents and can only be served a maximum of three times per year and have at least sixty days between each time they are served.

Homeless/Motel Voucher Assistance
The Motel Voucher assistance program is available from several grant sources. Assistance under this program is not always available, and the funding for this program comes from a variety of sources. Clients can be assisted under this program for 1 to 30 days. Clients must be willing to make efforts towards becoming self-sufficient in order to receive continued assistance. To be eligible for services under this program a client must meet income guidelines, have an eviction notice, and have photo identification. Clients may receive services under this program once in a two-year period.
Rent Assistance
First Month’s rent assistance and rent eviction prevention programs are available from several grant sources; therefore funds are not always available for these programs. The maximum assistance amount is $400. To be eligible for services under this program a client must meet income guidelines, have an eviction notice, and present photo identification. Clients must be able to demonstrate the ability to continue rental obligation.
Special Needs Assistance
Special Needs assistance program is available from funds provided by United Way; funds vary, therefore, assistance is not always available. Types of assistance available under this program include gasoline vouchers, clothing vouchers, hair cuts, prescriptions, blankets, hygiene products, baby items, etc. Additional items could be purchased with approval from the Community Services Program Manager. To be eligible for services under this program a client must meet income guidelines and present photo identification.
