implementing weed control programs, rodent control programs, agricultural produce
maturity testing, and to conduct air pollution studies. The position is

this position will investigate cases of juvenile delinquency or dependency,
adult applicants for probation; supervise and counsel juveniles and adults on

scheduled for twenty (20) hours per week. This recruitment may be used to establish a list to
fill future full time or part time vacancies for the next 12 months. DUTIES:
Supervise and counsel adult and juvenile probationers, and drug and
domestic violence diversioners; prepare and carry out case plans. Prepare and
present factual reports and recommendations regarding juveniles and adults for
the Superior Court. Investigate offenses against the law by juveniles and
adults and prepare a variety of reports to the court on individuals under the
court's jurisdiction. Represent the Probation Department before the court;

offenders to Juvenile Hall and other placements. Analyze and use information
gathered by interviewing the accused and others involved in a case to assess
client needs; develop a supervision plan designed to achieve desired behavioral

arrangements for the collection and distribution of fines, restitution and
other payments. Coordinate probation activities with other county departments
